This week our client Legal & General won an award at the 2018 Insurance Post PR and Marketing awards for its flagship Not A Red Card mental health awareness campaign. L&G first launched the campaign last year using the power and imagery of sport to raise awareness, educate and inspire action around reducing the stigma of mental health in the workplace.

Legal & General’s campaign encourages businesses and employers to think that ‘talking about mental is not a red card offence’. It’s supported by sporting personalities who are also mental health advocates, including as rugby union referee Nigel Owens, former Premier League footballer Clarke Carlisle and rugby union World Cup winner Will Greenwood. As a member of the City Mental Health Alliance (another of our clients!) Legal & General is making a positive difference to foster a mentally healthy workforce.

With Legal & General hosting its inaugural Not A Red Card mental health awards later this year, Rostrum has been supporting L&G with the PR aspects of the campaign for two years now, and we are excited to continue working on tackling the issues around mental health in the workplace.
