The Brief

Sodexo appointed Rostrum in 2010 to work alongside its own marketing team to increase brand awareness in the HR market and sales of the company’s products and services.

The Campaign

Our remit has been to raise the media profile of Sodexo Benefits and Rewards Services in the UK, increase its share of voice against key competitors in the market and generate conversation around new products Sodexo brings to market. Alongside this core day-to-day activity, we support on crisis communications and messaging workshops for various business needs and corporate announcements for the Sodexo brand.

The Results

Over the years, we have:

    • Significantly boosted Sodexo’s share of voice against its named competitors by consistently generating high volumes of quality press coverage each month, focused on Sodexo’s key messages.
    • Supported Sodexo in bringing new products to market, including the money management tool, Money Boost, and premium gift card, Simply Gift.
    • Coordinated a number of media focused stunts for Sodexo, such as ‘Bring Your Children to Work Day’ in 2011, which highlighted the need to support working parents during a teachers’ strike. We arranged for clowns, face painters and other children’s entertainment at the Sodexo office on the day of the strike, leading to significant tier one coverage for Sodexo, including Bloomberg, Sky News, Channel 4, BBC Surrey, BBC South and BBC 5 Live. National print coverage included both the Financial Times and The Times.
