Rostrum has launched Episode 3 of Managing Reputational Risk – the podcast that explores crisis communications and reputation management.

The podcast is hosted by Rostrum’s in-house trainer and crisis lead, Grant Bather.

In episode three, Grant is joined by Tim el-Sheikh, CEO and Co-founder of Nebuli, a company that specialises in examining emerging consumer trends and evolving human habits. Nebuli blends science, design, ethics and technology. The business also provides guidance to organisations on the use of artificial intelligence and data.

Both AI and data can play a huge role in helping to assess and manage reputational risk – if used correctly – and Tim is the ideal guest to discuss all things data and AI.

During the podcast Tim and Grant discuss a data-driven approach to reputation management and the importance of clarity of approach when using data. They look at ways that organisations can and should use data to help plot their business course and the importance of ethics in data management. They also examine when not to use AI and discuss the dangers of getting bogged down in statistics.

This series of podcasts, released monthly, will explore what a crisis is, look at ways to navigate a media storm, and identify the steps that organisations can take to ensure that they are on the front foot should a crisis strike. It will give organisations and individuals the steps they need to take to mitigate, minimise, measure, and monitor reputational events that could impact them.

Future episodes of the podcast include:

  • ‘The Great Resignation’ and how organisations can find and retain talent
  • The importance of having a team of media trained spokespeople
  • Reputation management measurement
  • Managing social media during a crisis
  • The additional reputational risks for listed businesses
  • Building a ‘reputation team’
