At Rostrum, we love to celebrate the achievements of our talented team. “Hit and Bit of the Month” is an opportunity for everyone to get together, have fun and share highlights from the month. In this friendly competition, account teams nominate the pieces of coverage (“hits”) and other client-related activity (“bits”) that they’re most proud of, and those who best meet their client’s objectives are declared winners.

Hit of the Month: Risk of debt: over-55s hit by urge to splurge, coverage secured in The Express for more2life

This month’s best hit was an article exploring how some over-55s feel pressured to open their wallets as the UK exits lockdown secured in The Express by our more2life team.

The Express featured research from the later life lender projecting what their CEO Dave Harris described to the paper as potentially “unmanageable levels” of borrowing among over-55s.

It’s not the first time we’ve recognised the more2life team for their hard work this year. Along with the Buck and PRIMIS teams, they secured excellent coverage in a February Express piece advising over-55s on how to improve their finances in 2021. This was a fantastic hit for team more2life – getting national hit for client research is a great achievement, made even better by the fact that The Express’ reader demographic matches the key target audience of the client. Well done to more2life for taking home the “Hit of the Month” trophy again!

Bit of the Month: Webinar launch of Kroll’s New KYC Tool, Kroll Business Connect

July’s best bit was a webinar organised by the Kroll team to announce the launch of the company’s new Know Your Customer (KYC) tool, Kroll Business Connect.

The Kroll team was able to secure some well-known national journalists to attend the webinar including representatives from The Times and the Financial Times, both key targets for Kroll’s editorial efforts. Catering provided by virtual wine tasting company Elizabeth & Wine meant that it was also a very merry affair, with a selection of wine and an array of complementary cheeses.

After spinning the prize wheel, from which teams can win anything from a single banana to a £20 Deliveroo voucher, the more2life team will be celebrating their win with a bottle of fizz, and Kroll will be enjoying a box of delicious brownies! Congratulations to all, and thanks again for your continued hard work!
